Chenille Yarn Instructions:

This font only has one step for each letter. You will create your word or name, save the file to your machine, stitch the file to show the placement of each letter, then place your yarn and back the machine up to run the entire design a second time to stitch the yarn in place. If you have software, you could copy the word or name directly over the original, and change the color for the copy so that it will stitch the first color, then stop before stitching the second color. For multineedle machines, you will have to program the stop at your machine.

Hoop your project and send the design to the machine. Run the design, which shows the placement for the yarn.

Remove your hoop from the machine, but DO NOT unhoop your project. Use washable Elmer’s glue or temporary adhesive spray to spray along the stitches. I only recommend 505 by Odif or KK100 by Gunold spray adhesives to use for embroidery, as they do not gum up your needle or machine. Some people use double-sided tape over the stitches to hold the yarn in place. I have not tried this method.

Place the yarn over the placement stitches, being careful to follow the stitches exactly. Gently press down to make sure the yarn will not move during embroidery.

Place the hoop back on the machine and rerun the design, which will stitch the yarn to the project. During this run, you should slow the machine down as slow as it will go to help with guiding the yarn.
Once completed, remove the hoop and unhoop your project. Rub your fingers over the yarn to fluff the fibers over the stitches.

Happy Stitching!
